Heartwood's philosophy was that in order to heal others you must first learn to heal yourself and to strive to live with love and compassion in all that you do. In 2003 I graduated from their accredited 6 month massage degree program, with 700 hours of training and a life changing experience. I am a certified and insured member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professional Trade Organization. I have worked all over the United States in chiropractic offices, spas and for myself for the last 16 years doing massage therapy.
In addition to studying massage I also graduated with an Associate of Science Degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail University; that has been very valuable in my pursuit of incorporating sound therapy into my massage practice. I have always been a musician and highly believe in the healing powers of sound waves and music. In dedication to my practice, I enjoy pursuing continuing education in the holistic arts on a regular basis. I have experienced a lifetime of healing myself first and therefore others from immense physical, emotional and spiritual turmoil and pain. I plan on pursuing a career as a professional herbalist/aromatherapist in the future.
Casper Massage is about my personal spiritual realization that the only real purpose for me to be here on earth is to be of service. I also reject the traditional ways that health is handled in this country, and want to teach people what I have learned is a less expensive, and more loving way of taking care of yourself, than only utilizing western medicine ideologies in one's health. Through my practice at Casper Massage it is my great dedication and privilege to:
- Continually learn and grow in my own spirit, empathy, education and experience to better serve others.
- Empower and educate people to be proactive about their own health and wellness.
- Express dedication to my trade and purpose in life by introducing the community of Casper to an exceptional massage therapy experience.
To reframe how the community of Casper thinks about their self care pertaining to massage therapy. I believe modern wellness should be based on a preventative model. Massage therapy isn't a luxury for once a year or only when you are hurting, it is a smart proactive way of preventing expensive and painful conditions to your body in the future and feels great.
The old idiom ”An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” has never been more relevant to your health than it is now.
It is a wise and effective choice to prevent problems in the body with regular maintenance, rather than waiting until a problem is presenting symptoms and more challenging to treat.
